One of my favorite residents at the nursing home has been pretty sick lately. He is normally very independent and able to walk to and from meals, but he has spent the last couple of days in a wheel chair. When I spoke with him today he mentioned that a man from physical therapy came to do some exercises with him. When the resident told him that he was concerned about his health, the physical therapist replied with:
"The Lord made the moon and the mountains... I think He'll be able to take care of you."
It reminded me of the Jesus' illustration about the sparrow.
Such true words. At such an apt moment.
