Regan's Wedding

The wedding on Saturday went really well. I enjoyed it fully. Sarah and I got to be in the back with Regan while she was getting ready and so that was a lot of fun. The ring bearer was entertaining. He ran down the isle crying. The duet went well. Oh yeah so here is a funny story.

Before it was time for Sarah and I to play we sat in the back. Well we were going to sing a hymn and so Doug said, “turn in your hymnals to page #11.” So Sarah leaned forward to grab the hymnal and we both thought for some reason that we should stand. But he had never said to stand. So Sarah and I are standing but no one else is. We quickly sat down. And as you can imagine we both started laughing. It was pretty funny at the time. I hope no one saw us!

Well the rest of the wedding went well. The reception was also good. The only problem is that it’s over. I wish I could re-live last weekend a couple times. But I’m sure there are more good times to come.

I can’t quite believe that Regan is actually married. Mrs. Peterson?? I don’t think I will ever be able to say that with a straight face. Regan Leigh Peterson sounds good though.

Rehearsal

Last night was the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner for Regan’s wedding. It was really fun to be on the in crowd. I saw a bunch of people from covenant cedars that I had met at the winter retreat. So that was fun. And I got to spend time with Sarah which is always fun.

I got pretty nervous playing in front of all those people at the rehearsal. I really didn’t think I would get too nervous about it considering I didn’t know half the people. But I think the reason I was so nervous was because everyone was standing pretty close to us and it was hard to block them out. I hope I don’t get that nervous for the wedding this afternoon.

After the rehearsal at the church we went over to the Friendship Center and had dinner. This was enjoyable. I got to be a kid and sit at the “kid table” with Sarah and her sisters and the Ross kids. We had fun. Abby entertained us throughout the meal with funny stories and things.

I can’t wait until this afternoon!

Finally something specific to do!

The rehearsal is tomorrow night! I’m really looking forward to it.

Last night we had the shower for them. It was a lot of fun! There were a lot more people there than I thought would come. Here are some pics of the night. We played some interesting games as you can see.

THE WINNEBAGO!!!!!

I started school yesterday. It went well. It hasn’t got very busy yet. Geometry started yesterday also. I think I like Algebra 1 better though. But I can’t really say since I’ve only had one class of geometry. Spanish starts tomorrow morning. I’m kind of worried about how I’m going to do. But I think it will go okay.

Last night I went over to Sarah’s grandma’s house to practice our song for the wedding. When I got to her house I saw a very large camper in their drive way. Well you really have to be a Dennis to know why this is funny but, Russ you can read it anyway. As I was walking up the driveway I looked over at the camper and saw that it said Winnebago on it!

I have finally seen my first Winnebago. I am now content.

I talked to Regan on the phone today. She has been really busy getting ready for her wedding, which is in four days. I can’t believe it’s that soon! Tomorrow we are having a shower for her. It’s mostly for the youth and their parents. It should be fun. We are in charge of games.

Well tonight it’s back to just my parents and I. Sean left for Colorado with Tanner this afternoon. Tomorrow they are going Sky Diving! Yeah don’t ask me why they want to do that. I don’t think I could ever do that. I am scared just jumping off the high dive. Sean says that they will be free falling for thirty to forty seconds. And so my question remains…why???

I have checked my blog three times today and no one has left me a comment yet! What is it with you guys!?! Can’t you figure the riddle out? Okay, I’ll give you a hint…. There are no windows involved. Okay so maybe that wasn’t really a hint but it works. Well hurry up and leave a comment!

Trust

School is approaching rapidly. I am dreading the fact that things are going to get considerably busier. I have really enjoyed being a kid with no worries this summer. It seems like the older you get the more things get hard and worrisome. But I guess it is all how you think of it. There is no reason to worry if you trust God with all your heart. But that’s not as easy as it seems. I’m working on it.

Regan’s wedding is getting closer! Only eleven more days! She came back last week and I went over to see her new house. It’s really nice and I like it a lot. I hope I still get to do things with her like I used to. Being in high school, I doubt she will get to work with us as much. But I think she is going to lead our home group so that should be fun.

I guess that's another thing I have to trust Him about. I am so worried that things won't work out how I want them to. I am so self-centered. I don’t want to trust him fully because I want to be in control. How do I get rid of that attitude?? How could I think that I would do a better job at controlling my life then Him, the creator of me.

Riddle

I have a Riddle for you
(Particularly Russ whom we thought of when we were trying to figure it out)

There are Two Rooms. In room one there are three light switches. In room two there are three lights. The three switches connect to the three lights and have the ability to turn them on.

How could you figure out which light switch goes to which light by only entering room one once?
