a visit from higher up

Today two men visited us. They were a part of the committee that funds the CNA course and selects the participants (us). As they came in our room we were practicing bed making and giving bed-baths. Immediately when they were introduced, we quieted and acted professional. They weren't intimidating. Just two older men who looked like Kansas farmers. But suddenly we realized the value that each of us had been given. The value of this free course. Even my teacher acted differently. She spoke with more concern for the students and more helpfulness in her tone. The beds were made neater, the mitered corners were pressed straighter, and we were humbled. It was as if Jesus himself had visited our room. He just sat there and watched, but everyone realized who He was and what He had done for us.
