popcorn

Our bare feet impacted the the black trampoline with momentary force, then our flying bodies carelessly flung up like popping popcorn. Our mouths stayed wide as we laughed because our arms flapped like birds when we tried to keep our balance or fly higher. We held hands. Bouncing in circles. Landing simultaneously, we tried with all our face muscles not to laugh - we liked the feeling when our cheeks stayed down and our bodies flew into the air. It felt like someone was pulling your face down. We couldn't do it for long. It's not easy to relax your face while shooting uncontrollably into the air and  staring Jerry in the eyes and watching his hair slap against his forehead.
