Tournament

Thursday was the start of the basketball tournaments. Going into it I thought we had a pretty good chance. Our first game was against Topeka Cornerstone. We beat them by about ten points. We then played for third and fourth place against the Manhattan Chiefs. It was a hard game. We were all tired and the gym was really hot. We played okay in the first half but in the third quarter we lost it. It was kind of disappointing.
Friday we played the CFE Falcons. Going into it I was sure we could beat them. I still think we could have done better. But we lost. I don’t really know what happened except that we were all too confident. Everyone was disappointed after that (including me) but Kara brought up a good point. She said that we should be thankful that we got to play. Some of the people on the other team didn’t even get to play. I am glad that Mrs. Newcomer feels that it is better to have fun than to win. Though it is always fun to win. Well we ended up in fourth place (out of eight). But there is always next year.
